The rules for using HouseEdge — as a candidate looking for work, and as an employer hiring. Two sections are worth reading twice: what employers may do with applicant data, and what you are actually agreeing to when you buy a plan.

HouseEdge is operated by this company, which is responsible for the personal data described on these pages. JunketClub is run by the same company as a separate service, with its own accounts and its own database — the two do not share user data.
01What this is
HouseEdge is a job board for the casino industry. Employers publish listings; candidates keep a profile and apply to them. We are not an employment agency, we are not party to anything you agree with an employer, and we do not vet the truth of a listing or of an application.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you are using it on behalf of a company, you are confirming you are allowed to.
02Accounts
You need to be at least 16 to hold an account, and old enough to work where the job is.
Keep your details accurate and your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
One employer account holds one company. Accounts are not to be shared or transferred.
03What candidates post
Your profile and your CV stay yours. By applying to a listing you allow us to show that application, including your CV and contact details, to the employer who posted it, for the purpose of considering you for that role.
That permission does not extend further. It does not let an employer keep your CV for unrelated roles, pass it on, or add you to a mailing list.
Post only what is yours to post, and only what is true. Do not include other people's personal details in your CV or cover letter without their agreement.
04What employers post
A listing has to be a real, currently open role at the company that posted it.
Not allowed, and grounds for removal without notice:
- discriminating on age, sex, race, religion, disability, or anything else the applicable law protects
- asking candidates for money, at any point and for any reason — placement fees, training, equipment, deposits
- listings that exist to collect CVs, build a database, or advertise something other than the job
- requesting identity documents, bank details or payment information through this service
- using an applicant's details for anything other than considering them for the role they applied to
Applicant data reaches you because someone applied to your listing. Treat it accordingly: use it for that role, keep it no longer than you need it, and do not pass it to anyone else.
05Plans, quotas and promotion
What your plan includes is what the service enforces: how many listings can be live at once, how long they stay up, and which promotional placements are available to you.
Ticking a promotion box on a listing is a request, not a purchase of a specific outcome. Promoted placements are limited, and whether a request is granted is decided when you save or publish. If it is refused, the reason and the numbers behind it are shown to you at that moment — a refused promotion never silently becomes a granted one, and a granted one is never quietly taken away without being reported.
A request you make stays on record. If your plan later covers it and a slot is free, it applies without you having to ask again.
Choosing not to show a salary is allowed, and it has a consequence we would rather state than bury: a listing with no stated salary is left out of searches that filter or sort by salary. The composer says so where you make the choice.
06Who you buy from
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
What that means in practice, because the sentence above is a legal formula and worth unpacking: when you buy a plan, the purchase itself is a contract with Paddle. Paddle takes the payment, issues the invoice, and is responsible for charging and remitting any sales tax or VAT. The service you are buying access to — your account, your listings, your applications — is provided by us, under these terms.
We never see your card. The checkout is Paddle's, it runs on Paddle's systems, and no card number, expiry date or security code reaches ours at any point. What comes back to us from Paddle is which plan was bought, for which period, when that period ends, and the identifiers of your customer and subscription records at Paddle.
Prices on the pricing page are in US dollars. Tax is calculated by Paddle at checkout from where you are, and shown to you before you pay, so the amount on the final screen is the amount that will be charged.
Completing a purchase means accepting these terms and the refund policy. Both are linked next to the purchase button and in the footer of every page.
07What a paid plan buys
The limits described further up — live listings, how long they stay up, which promotional placements you can request, and where your listings sit in the ordering of the board — are what differs between plans, and they are what your money changes. Each of them is applied by the server on every save and every publish, not by the page you happen to be looking at.
Promotional placements stay a request rather than a guaranteed outcome. Buying a plan that includes one pinned listing buys the right to ask and a slot to hold it; the answer comes at the moment you save or publish, with the numbers behind it, and a slot already used by another of your listings is the usual reason for a no.
The pricing page describes each plan. Anything it marks as coming soon is not part of what you are buying today — it is listed because it is where the plan is going, and marked because it does not exist yet.
A plan can also be granted by us directly, without a purchase — for a trial, a correction, or an arrangement made by email. A granted plan carries the same limits and is not billed, and nothing about it goes to Paddle.
08Renewal, and changing your plan
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose when you bought it — and keeps renewing until it is cancelled. Paddle takes the renewal payment and emails you about it.
One account holds one subscription at a time. To move between plans you change the subscription you have; the service will refuse to sell you a second one on top of a live one, and that refusal is deliberate rather than a limitation.
Moving up to a more expensive plan takes effect immediately. Paddle charges the difference for the remainder of the period you have already paid for, and the higher limits apply as soon as that payment clears.
Moving down to a cheaper plan takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, not straight away. This is deliberate and it is in your favour: applying it immediately would convert the unused part of what you paid into account credit at Paddle, and that credit can only be spent against future invoices — it cannot be paid back to your card, and it is lost if you later cancel. So you keep what you paid for until it runs out, and the cheaper plan starts the moment it does. A scheduled change is shown on your billing page and can be called off any time before it happens.
Switching between monthly and yearly on the same plan works the same way as changing plan, and takes the same route depending on which direction the money goes.
Your billing page shows the plan in effect, the amount and period you are being charged for, the date the current period ends, and any change already scheduled.
09Cancelling
You can cancel from your billing page at any time, without writing to anyone and without giving a reason.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Until that date nothing changes — you keep the plan and everything it grants. If you change your mind before then, the same page will resume the subscription and no payment is missed.
The one exception is a subscription whose payment has already failed and not been recovered: there is no paid time left for it to run out, so cancelling it takes effect at once.
Cancelling a subscription does not close your account, and closing your account does not by itself cancel a subscription. If you are leaving altogether, cancel the plan first or ask us to, otherwise the renewal will still be attempted.
10If a payment fails
When a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it and the subscription is marked past due. Your plan keeps working while that is going on — a card that expired over a weekend should not take your listings down.
If it is not recovered, the subscription ends and the account falls back to the free plan. What that costs is worth stating plainly rather than leaving to be discovered:
- Promotional placements go: pinned, featured and urgent badges are taken off your live listings, and the priority weighting that put them higher on the board is removed. These are what the paid plan granted, and they do not outlive it.
- Listings already published keep running to the expiry date they were given when they went up. We do not pull down a listing you had already paid to publish.
- The free plan's limit applies to anything new. Listings beyond that limit can finish their run, but cannot be published again once they end.
Paying again restores the limits immediately, and a promotion you had asked for is re-applied on the next save or publish if a slot is free.
11Refunds
Refunds have a page of their own, linked in the footer, because there is more to say than fits here.
The summary: if you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the UK you have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days, which Paddle administers as the seller. Separately from that, you can ask us for a refund at any time from your billing page. A person reads every request. If we approve one, Paddle still reviews it before the money moves, and it is Paddle — not us — that has the last word on whether a refund is issued.
We say that plainly here and again on the refund page, because a service that says approved when it means submitted is making a promise it does not control.
12Availability
We try to keep the service up and the data safe, and we take nightly backups. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change or withdraw features.
The service is provided as it is. We are not responsible for hiring decisions, for what an employer or candidate says or does, or for losses that follow from either.
13Suspension and closing an account
We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, particularly the rules above about listings and applicant data.
Suspending an account does not stop its subscription renewing at Paddle. If we suspend a paid account for something you can put right, tell us and we will cancel the plan while it is sorted out rather than let it bill for a service you cannot reach.
You can close your account at any time by writing to us. Cancel any paid plan first, or ask us to do it in the same message. What happens to your data is set out on the retention page.
14Changes and contact
If these terms change we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it. Where a change affects what you pay or what a plan includes, we will tell paying account holders by email before it takes effect, and it will not apply to a period you have already paid for.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For anything about the service — your account, a listing, an application, a complaint — write to us.

For anything about an order, an invoice, a payment or a receipt, you can also go to Paddle directly at paddle.com, using the link in the confirmation email they send you. Both routes reach a person; ours is the faster one for questions about the service itself.
